What Can You Expect from Our Service?

 

Our goal is to provide subscribers with in-depth qualitative and quantitative analyses of the companies we analyze.  We want to help you understand the thinking behind our processes so you become a more intelligent and informed analyst and investor.  Through a monthly video subscription, we will discuss the pros and cons of each business we analyze, including a detailed analysis of the financial statements.  While this cannot replace the analyses each individual investor should conduct as part of their research processes, we hope that our analyses will provide investors/subscribers with the information necessary to think deeply and differently about companies, thereby enhancing their skillsets are investors.

 

What Analytical Style Best Describes Your Methods?

 

Our analytical method is typically described as “fundamental”, applying a value investment philosophy.  In other words, we analyze a company’s competitive position within its markets, management team, financial performance, amongst other characteristics, to determine if the company appears to be priced below our estimate of intrinsic value, or what the company is ultimately worth to an informed buyer. This is akin to trying to purchase a dollar bill for 60 cents.  Whie many investors have influenced are thinking, we have been most influenced by Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, Bill Nygren, to name a few.  We do not subscribe in any way by the widely held academic theory of the Efficient Market Hypothesis.

Yes.  In addition to the detailed analyses we provide as part of the monthly subscription, we also provide videos highlighting how we conduct various quantitative analyses.  These videos are designed to sharpen individuals’ analytical skills by ensuring that they conduct various quantitative analyses thoughtfully and intelligently.
